Taco Wonton Cups

Perfect for those on a weight loss journey who loves a good Taco Tuesday!

Ingredients

  • 12 Wonton Wrappers
  • 1 LB Ground Beef (95/5)
  • 1 Cup White Onion, diced
  • 1/2 Cup Diced Tomato
  • 1/2 Cup Green Chilis
  • 1 Packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Pinch of Cilantro
  • 1 Dollop Sour Cream
  • 1 Pinch Shredded Cheese

Directions

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare Wonton Cups

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin. Press a wonton wrapper into each cup, forming a well for the filling. Bake for 7 minutes until crispy.

Step 2: Cook Taco Filling

Heat a large pan with a little cooking oil. Add 1 cup diced onions and cook for 3 minutes until translucent. Add diced tomatoes and green chilis. Move veggies to the side and add the ground beef. Sear, then break into crumbles. Add taco seasoning, stir well, and cook for 2–3 minutes. Season to taste.

Step 3: Assemble and Bake

Fill each wonton cup with taco mixture and top with shredded cheese. Bake for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 4: Add Finishing Touches

Allow to cool for a few minutes. Top with fresh cilantro and a dollop of sour cream. Enjoy!
